Great all around - Market Research Associate Darwin Research Group Employee Review

Pros

This is a great company with a great group of people. From the research team to sales and marketing, everyone wants to see their coworkers succeeding. The office is BRAND NEW and is full of thoughtful touches that ensure employees have what they need throughout the day. Because of our smaller size, anyone from department directors up to the CEO are available for questions. Get in while you can, because this company is growing like mad. If you're passionate about health care, biotech, and working on a team which supports its members, stop reading this and apply.

Cons

None really. The application and interview process may be more involved compared to other similar positions. Not a con, because the team wants to make sure new hires are meshing well with the values and mission of the company. Don't be deterred by thinking you need a master's degree, either. Apply anyways, even with a BS/BA.

Thanks for your glowing review! While this is an older review, I'd like to think that we've maintained this positive work environment for everyone, although as some of the other reviews suggest, it's an evolving process. John

Pros

- Flexibility - Leadership cares about your professional and personal success - Ability to work remotely when needed -Close culture and work relationships

Cons

It is a relatively small company, so when others are leaving or not giving the team 100% effort, it can really be felt.

Pros

-Management is very flexible and understanding with parental schedules and personal health issues/doctors appointments. Anytime someone has had to change their schedule to accommodate something for their children or themselves, it has always been met with "absolutely" and no push back. If you are a hard worker and put in the effort your job requires, the trust in you is reciprocated. -The work environment is comfortable and very clean. If you enjoy additional perks in an office, there are healthy snacks and drinks supplied, a large kitchen/break room space to prepare and enjoy meals, updated technology, large office building with key card parking garage, and a patio space to work outside that overlooks a golf course and the mountains. -The company has a great platform that they are building on with their content speciality. Lots of room for growth and opportunities.

Cons

-There has been a lot of turnover the past few years while growth changes have been implemented. Most are a result of incorrect hiring/placement for certain job roles. A lot of employees use this as their first job out of college, and it turns out to be a stepping stone in their career instead of something long term. Their work ethic has not been established yet. -Although the office space is beautiful, it is not set up in a way to be efficient for the employees. The teams are separated from each other and do not have opportunities to interact much. The sales team do not have designated spaces for them to conduct their calls and meetings. Same for the research team and conducting their interviews. The office is open concept, which is very nice looking, but not correct for this type of company. -Most decisions still need to go through the CEO, which itself is not particularly a bad thing, but the CEO can be very hard to get a response from, and will flip-flop his wants/direction quite often. This leads to employees feeling whip-lashed and uncertain about their job and the company.
