Pros
Excellent pay for operators, more than their Shift managers.
Cons
Toxic environment. Management either lack awareness or are incredibly secretive and therefore provide very little clear direction. For a massive multinational, IT systems are disjointed and sub optimal, with large portions of functionality not used. Operators are very well paid, with a strong union and very little pressure from management. The pressure is applied to lower Management, with less pay, unrealistic expectations and lack of support. Functions like Supply chain are fortunate to take long lunch breaks and float around during the day, while operations are lucky to grab a quick break and are questioned if not always available on the factory floor.
