Pros
Dana-Farber is a company that you can have pride working for. It is important work, and employees truly care about the patients. The company also has great benefits - lots of vacation/personal time and good insurance.
Cons
If you have a bad manager, there is little that DFCI is going to do about it. It is good for job security, but difficult to deal with. Also, career opportunities really depend on what you want to do. DFCI is very strict about their hiring/promotion guidelines which can make it hard to move up the ladder until you meet x years of experience. Pay is better than most hospitals in the area but still fairly low when it comes to living in Boston.
