People are very nice with me

The job is easy to do but the pay rate is low.

The best thing about my job is flexibility. I have some outside interests (kids, community) and my manager doesn't mind if I occasionally leave a little early. We pay our bills on time and have good credit.

How much space to I have? Salaries about 25-33% below market norms. No professional development. Management does not believe in communication (paranoia); employees are left in the dark to speculate and wonder. Management is, well, unqualified; promotions come not by outstanding performance or merit, but by (1) being Japanese and (2) having your number come up - ability is not part of the criteria. A couple of the managers don't speak enough English to communicate with their English-speaking reports.
