Pros

Get to work with many construction agencies across NY.

Cons

No WFH - no flexibility at all! No Benefits. Low Pay and a small shop out of White Plains. Very old school mentality and backwards with technology and software. Most people that stay here are here because they’re stuck on the H1B visa. No reason to work here - every other opportunity you may have will be better. Even the work they do here is very insignificant. Mundane compliance work, estimating small change orders or reviewing schedules all day.

Pros

If you want a hands on job you'll get to learn in - then DACK is the right job for you. The owner, Aleksandra, is very hands on in the company; she will give you endless opportunities to test your knowledge as well as to pick up some new skills along the way. - good benefits. - well paced work. - both team and individual work setting. - freedom to learn and practice new skills (and ask questions). - your contribution actually matters (and you can voice your suggestions for improvement and can actually see them implemented). - office social events. - easy location to travel to. - flexible work environment. - opportunities to work in office and/or in the field.

Cons

- time off doesn't kick in until after 1 year of working here. - open forum office (feels like you're in a fish bowl in the main part of the office). - small company - everyone wears many hats and has dabbled in different opportunities than what they originally started with when they were hired. - self-starter environment. - not much training - you'll be thrown into the mix with limited knowledge or guidance.
