Pros

It’s remote. Some teams are great. I felt valued at first until I needed real support.

Cons

Not all teams are created equal. Management will throw you under the bus if they need to. They will have 1 on 1’s with you and tell you you’re doing great and then all of the sudden you’re fired for “multiple incidents” when you were the top performer that was highly regarded by the hiring managers you worked with. Oh- and they’ll do it before they have to pay you out on your bonus. Thanks. Shady. Favoritism is apparent. They still owe me $600 in fees I spent that they should have reimbursed me for.

Pros

Stable company to work for with great benefits. DaVita offers tuition reimbursement, so it pays to go back to school and get a degree. They also help with career advancement and development.

Cons

If you are new to dialysis, it may take a while to reach a decent wage. You are required to work 12 hour shifts, mostly on your feet, and managers will always look to add to your workload.

Pros

Management supports a work-life balance, hours are flexible, okay benefits. Good training opportunities and there is effort by management to support a good work culture. 6 weeks at 80% of pay Paternity/Maternity & Adoption leave. 401K with 6% matching. For 2 adults, we pay for Davita's Anthem BCBS healthcare plan and it is $350/month (4,700 deductible).

Cons

Payscale isn't aggressive - 1% raise each year. You also may be asked to cover other clinics temporarily without fair compensation for the extra workload.
