Pros
There's a chance to learn a lot Lots of opportunity to carve your own niche. Despite widely reported (in local and national media) massive Medicare fraud investigations - they appear to have some stability in the industry.
Cons
There is a fair amount of chaos in IT leadership. We've had senior leadership recruited and quit in the same calendar year. They do deep layoffs in their IT tower every few years. These are mandated from on high and IT leadership doesn't have much say in these which leads to some interesting problems. A few years back they laid off every single project manager along with everyone who had admin rights on the ticketing system. In the latest round, they laid off several dozen employees from IT and hired back at least a few as contractor at 60%(approx) of their salary. That can be galling from a company who makes a big deal about how we're all "a village". As you'd imagine, morale among the survivors isn't great and gets worse with every new round. The Last Week Tonight program did a segment on 2017 on the dialysis the mentions Davita quite a bit. You can find it on Youtube. It's worth a look if you're considering employment here.
