Pros

big company plenty of opportunities to grow specially if you have a background in nursing good training in some regions

Cons

The company pays salaries for RN and PCTs way under market. US Renal and Fresenius are always improving offers for up to $5 per hour more than Davita. We, FAs, get stock with having to hire new nurses and expected to retain them after they are trained despite the great difference in salaries. This would be easier if we were able to keep a decent core level so we don't overwork all the experienced nurses to the ground. The Core values really work for positions FA and above. The troops on the ground don't have the stamina or the will after 16 hours shifts to volunteer or be "fun".

Pros

Management supports a work-life balance, hours are flexible, okay benefits. Good training opportunities and there is effort by management to support a good work culture. 6 weeks at 80% of pay Paternity/Maternity & Adoption leave. 401K with 6% matching. For 2 adults, we pay for Davita's Anthem BCBS healthcare plan and it is $350/month (4,700 deductible).

Cons

Payscale isn't aggressive - 1% raise each year. You also may be asked to cover other clinics temporarily without fair compensation for the extra workload.
