Pros

Pretty straight training system. You do learn and can advance if you work hard.. If you like to work independently you have that option also. You can be left alone to work for the most part. If you just wanna work and keep your head down you can do that. Plenty OT when its busy.

Cons

Underpaid! Big time. Starting is 39 bucks. On calls shift actually becomes a regular night shift each week. Technically you work 3 days and 1 night a week. They try and advertise the 1 on call night a week as STAT only cases but they call you in for routine cases with no night shift differential or night pay. Just you coming at night getting regular pay. They call it on call shift but its really you coming it later to complete the remaining assignments for the fourth shift of your week, not considered OT either. Ruins your sleep patterns and you dont recover because next week here comes another night shift after you've already work 3 days shift. Also schedulers(ppl who information you about new orders) that work in the office get real rude. Not fun being lectured about clinical needs by someone that have zero medical background. Scheduler slowly begin to act like your boss. Its terrible. If you have any sense of independence and experience you will absolutely hate schedulers.

Pros

Stable company to work for with great benefits. DaVita offers tuition reimbursement, so it pays to go back to school and get a degree. They also help with career advancement and development.

Cons

If you are new to dialysis, it may take a while to reach a decent wage. You are required to work 12 hour shifts, mostly on your feet, and managers will always look to add to your workload.

Pros

Management supports a work-life balance, hours are flexible, okay benefits. Good training opportunities and there is effort by management to support a good work culture. 6 weeks at 80% of pay Paternity/Maternity & Adoption leave. 401K with 6% matching. For 2 adults, we pay for Davita's Anthem BCBS healthcare plan and it is $350/month (4,700 deductible).

Cons

Payscale isn't aggressive - 1% raise each year. You also may be asked to cover other clinics temporarily without fair compensation for the extra workload.
