Pros
DaVita touts a uniquely wonderful culture - and it would be wonderful if it was actually followed down at the clinic - and more importantly - the divisional levels. The charitable giving projects - specifically Tour DaVita and all the local volunteering efforts - are phenomenal. These were the things that made me beam with pride and happily display the DaVita name.
Cons
What is taught (preached even) at Academy, VillageWide, Tour DaVita and all of the other corporate training and events, is absolutely NOT consistently (or in some cases at all) followed at the divisional level. Rather than encourage TMs who want to learn, grow and contribute to patient care and the DaVita Way as a whole, the reality is one of constant criticism and nitpicking, overwork and major under appreciation. The primary focus seems to be on writing up TMs for any and all (real or perceived) wrongs committed, and if, as the manager you don't write someone up, you are harangued or written up yourself. Further, promises are rarely kept, priorities are ever changing, and the rumor/gossip mill is rampant, devastating and often untrue.
