Pros

Comprehensive, structured training — DaVita provides a thorough onboarding and dialysis-specific training program that supports nurses transitioning into hemodialysis, including hands-on preceptorship and ongoing education, helping RNs feel confident and competent even without prior dialysis experience.

Cons

Lower starting pay compared to acute care settings — Some RNs report that the pay rate at DaVita can be lower than hospital-based roles, particularly when factoring in the specialized skill set and workload required in outpatient dialysis.

Pros

- The training is paid.

Cons

- The Facility Manager (FA) and your Preceptor will openly lie to you to see how you respond. - You will also be constantly reminded that you will most likely be terminated. - The FA will pull you into a meeting and ask you inappropriate questions about your age, family, and social life. - You will be marked as "Under performing" if you show any emotion or not enough emotion. - They skirt around the number of hours you will be working. - You do not receive the required breaks for working 15 hour shifts. - You will constantly be told you are not doing this for the money, and that is true, The pay is horrible for everything you are put through and expected to do.
