Pros

This is going to be a long one, so grab some snacks or coffee and enjoy your time reading this review I wanted to write this review after completing a year at DTCC and the day has come. I have close to a decade of experience as a DevOps/Software Engineer and I worked with 2 other companies before DTCC and I can say that DTCC is among the best that I worked so far 1. Work Life Balance I cannot stress how amazing the work life balance here at DTCC is. We have hybrid policy, so we have to be at office for 3 days a week. Tuesday and Wednesday are mandatory days, wherein for the remaining day we can choose to come either on Monday, Thursday or Friday However we are not asked to clock specific hours in the office. Our CEO literally said that if you have a doctor appointment or any other personal emergencies, then you can leave office at any time. The CEO of a company doesn't have to say this to their employees but he did. DTCC can put strict policies and ask employees to clock certain hours inside office premises but they didn't do that. I am very happy with this approach because I usually stay in office for 9 to 10 hours depends on my work but at times I can leave early and connect from home for late meetings because the policy allows me to do so. 2. You can literally talk to any top level leaders at any time This is one of the best things here at DTCC. I can literally ping any Managing Directories or even our Chief officers and ask questions regarding work or about certain policies and they would reply right away or once they see my message. DTCC also conducts regular in person meetings with our Managing Directors and the Q&A sessions are always lit. Our MD's constantly visit our offices across the world, so we always have a chance to clarify questions regarding organization or our personal growth and they are more than happy to answer us. This is a big thumbs up. Requesting DTCC to keep these meets at all times 3. Great managers and Directors Again this goes with point 2. DTCC ensures that the people leaders have certain amount knowledge to be at that level. So it is very easy for me to talk to my manager and Director regarding technical issues in our project. My manager and Directors gave me utmost freedom to explore or bring in new technologies to our product. As a software developer, this is great chance for me to learn and explore new technologies. Because of this freedom, I was able to bring few advancements which made our product better 4. Regular in person visits I pretty much met all our Chief officers in person including our CEO and you can ask them questions on why DTCC is doing certain things in a certain way and they would explain things straightforwardly. The level of access you can have with top level management is unmatched here at DTCC. 5. Free food Nothing to explain here, thanks for the free food :)

Cons

The reason I waited to write this after a year is to find if I can face any cons. But there is none so far and I hope it stays that way

Pros

Internal Audit's work is meaningful and provides strong exposure across risk, technology and operations. Audits tend to focus on areas that truly matter from a regulatory and risk perspective, so you're not just checking boxes. There is a genuinely strong team culture. Colleagues are competent, collaborative, and willing to help, with a good mix of experience levels that make it a solid environment for learning. There is also clear investment in employee development. Managers often have regular career discussions, and there are ongoing efforts around training, including newer areas like AI tools and capabilities. Recognition is present, and people are generally acknowledged for strong performance. Overall, it's a strong place to build audit fundamentals, gain exposure to innovation initiatives, and develop credibility within financial services / internal audit.

Cons

Internal Audit's workload is consistently high, not just during peak periods. It's common to juggle multiple audits with overlapping deadlines, alongside continuous monitoring and other responsibilities, which can make it difficult at times. Processes can be very documentation heavy and sometimes feel rigid, which is expected in a highly regulated environment but can reduce efficiency. A significant amount of time can go into formatting, reviewing and aligning work papers to methodology. Some workflows remain manual, which adds to the overall pressure and limit efficiency.
