Lack of in-major technical experience. Lot of work is just busy work or maintenance work. Busy work isn't that technical.

upper management scared of its own shadow and cover themselves in front of the board at the expense of staff, company controlled like a puppet by their politically connected lawyer, constant back-biting b/t operations and engineering (though mngt ignores it), employees always complaining about each other behind each other's backs, blatant incompetency of certain mngt and operations staff, unsafe work environment, lack of unified direction, everyone is just waiting to retire.
