Pros
Some of the staff were okay and desired to help with getting process started as driver.
Cons
Went to their headquarters in Villa Park, got there, first sign, the yard looked a hot mess. Got there and went inside the building, atmosphere didn't feel welcoming @ all. Remember getting processed. Admit, they were attempting to get the process done efficiently and quick. I felt all they wanted to do was get me inside one of their trucks without really much care to what I desired. Got in one of their Volvos-matchbox. Frig wasn't working, mattress was dirty, dash and whole inside of truck was a hot mess. Anyway, as I was processing, met someone who happened to be coming in to process out, and tool it upon self to ask this person about the company. Showed me all kinds of horrible pix, talking about his pay and how he wasn't paid and cheated out of some of his runs. That right there drew another flag. My decision to leave them upon getting there wasn't based on this guys testimony of things but merely on how I was treated, how out of touch and withdrawn they seemed when I first got to their terminal and the equipment they presented to me. After I decided not to go through with anymore of the orientation, I decided to go back how and start from square one again. After I told them I desired to undo the processing they of course and naturally told me they wouldn't give me any moneys or compensation to get me back home. That also told me what kinds of people they were as I felt they could have respected my decision and got me a ride back to my home-which was in Illinois. Luckily I had a credit card and little money left and the rental car company had a spare vehicle from which I could get myself back home in. Point in this case, always investigate employers thoroughly before getting entangled and starting job relationships with them.
