Absolutely horrendous management. This company is run by an owner that is emotional and looks for the pettiest reasons possible to fire somebody. I watched the hardest working people I’ve ever met sacrifice time with family, PTO and weekends to make this business better with every fiber of their being, only to be let go with absolutely no warning or legitimate reason. The chief of staff will go out of their way to tell you how safe your job is, only to build up a wall of lies, and ultimately sacrifice you to the firing gods to protect their self and the people they brought on board. There was absolutely no training. I taught myself almost everything I knew with the exception of three employees that went out of their way to help me learn. DOPE operates as a start up well within to its 6th year, and has shifted to a wannabe corporate structure, without the 1 on 1 monthly meetings, no prep for changes and the expectation that you’ll drop what you’ve already learned at the drop of a hat.
DOPE stands for Data On Previous Engagement, which would imply it runs itself on data. Unfortunately, all decisions are emotionally driven. Very little data is actually used to make any rational decisions. If you respect yourself, take literally any other opportunity to work anywhere else.
