Pros

Global firm, ready to spend money on employee perks especially at senior level. Nice offices, talented people. Strong pro bono and community care.

Cons

Experience very dependent on partner/group. Firm is concerned only on big global clients. Very bureaucratic. Partners do not share work. Very hard to progress to partnership. I personally was very poorly treated after resigning. Incredibly long hours. No work life balance whatsoever

Pros

- Excellent pay and benefits - Flexibility with the hybrid schedule (depending on your practice group) - Easy to build community with other assistants and paralegals

Cons

- Easy to fall into burnout due to understaffing in assistant/paralegal positions - Be prepared for an unexpectedly higher or lower workload at any point. - D.C. location is particularly strict about the hybrid expectations - A bit disorganized as a whole when it comes to onboarding and training for your particular practice group.
