Pros

*Not particularly difficult * Access to solid and other unique discounts * Having active coworkers to chat golf with

Cons

* Often expected to go beyond your regular expectations * If working a closing shift you can go home 10 minutes after the store closes or TWO HOURS LATER, and you NEVER know ahead of time * Pay is never good enough as a sustainable full time job and limited upward mobility * Severe lack of training from the company or Management on your expected club services and club fittings * Have to deal with a ton of micromanagement, most is totally unnecessary * Managers often contradict one another * Often expected to work nights and weekends * My lunch breaks often got interrupted WHILE being off the clock

Pros

- Unlimited PTO with 401k match is awesome

Cons

- Performance expectations were often unclear or inconsistently communicated, Feedback was reactive instead of timely and actionable. - Leadership quality varied dramatically by manager, with limited coaching or mentorship. - Constant shifting priorities without adjusting expectations or workload. - Psychological safety was lacking, Honest communication feel risky. - Leadership messaging around culture didn't match day-to-day reality. - Process was often valued more than impact or results. - Compensation well below market, w/little flexibility during negotiations. - I felt excluded from key conversations and opportunities that were important to my success.
