Pros
Its an easy job, most people there are boomers. Slow paced but big personalities with people who have worked there up to 40 years. People are stuck in their ways...if you are new, just go with the flow and keep your head down. Do as you are told. This may come across as a negative but honestly, in this economy - sometimes a slow and minimally problematic job is best. I mostly ignore all the big personalities and politics.
Cons
I sincerely enjoy working with and being around Black people. A con here is that because most of the employees are Black, there is favoritism. Similar to if you worked somewhere where everyone was white, they would have their own cultural buddy system. I am a person of color but I am not Black and I definitely notice a difference in treatment. No one is racists toward me, but there is a bias of letting things slide for Black employees and not as much flexibility or friendliness with people of other races.
