Pros

I’ve have the blessing of working in many fields (from finance and income tax to real estate, education and even automotive) and I can easily say that COR is by far is the best company I have ever worked for by a land slide and I don’t see myself ever leaving this place. I just wish I came across these guys 10 years ago and save myself from all the headaches of working for horrible bosses and other companies who could care less about me. The company has a great infrastructure (401k, medical, gas reimbursements, pay structure/ bonuses etc..) and I never have to worry about absolutely anything because there will always be support throughout all levels of management and ownership. Through its not the biggest company, nor the smallest, the owners and management have created an environment where it feels like I’m working for family business that has been passed down generation after generation. It’s a genuine pleasure working in a place that doesn’t make you feel like “just an employee” and part of the family instead. And as much as the atmosphere is great. It’s not easy work either. At the end of the day it is still a construction company and there’s a wealth of knowledge under that umbrella. So at first, it may feel slightly overwhelming trying to learn everything but it’s not that crazy. It’s not expected of you to know everything when you’re first starting off. They teach very specific aspects of construction. Not everything. We work on our craft every day so trust that with time, effort and with everyone’s support, it gets easier throughout that learning curve. Hands down, working for COR has been the most challenging and rewarding experience I’ve ever had personally and professionally.

Cons

I haven’t been here that long but don’t see any real downsides that I can think of other than the work can be challenging at first (but that’s only if you make it challenging). At the end of the day, you get what you put in. We’ve all heard that old saying; “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” That’s no different here. The company is expanding and growing into new markets and they’re invested in us prospering. They give us all the tools to successful, the rest is up to us. And there’s enormous potential of making a very comfortable living working here but it all comes from you. If you’re a lazy person who does the bare minimum. Expect lazy & mediocre results. If you’re a hustler and a go getter, your work ethic will reflect that and you’ll be rewarded handsomely. In my opinion, if you’re not successful that’s on you, not the company.

Pros

Great pay for those who work. The harder you work to more you make. Management/Trainers really look out for you and help you all the time. There is room for growth within the company

Cons

If you’re lazy and just looking to do bare minimum, you won’t do well and won’t make a lot of money.
