Pros
- Not your usual Indian workplace. The values and dynamics that are at work here are not what a usual Indian workplace will have. - Smart People and a culture of looking out for each other People here are amazingly smart and the culture is that of supporting and trusting each other no matter what. The team dynamic is great. People really believe in the mission to impact lives and empathy and mindfulness are something we practice every day. - The office space vs work-life balance We don't have a fancy office but the flexibility and work-life balance is one in a million. We have a fully stocked snacks cabinet though. - Hardware is top quality You get your own big screen and an amazing set of hardware to work with. 16 GB RAM laptops, top quality keyboards, silent mouse and a noise cancelling headphones are a given. The aim is to make you comfortable so that you give your best. There are no discounts/restraints on this. I personally chose the hardware we got and I am not even in management. - Issue and complaint resolution Every one has a voice that will be heard and all issues/complaints/suggestions will be discussed with the *whole* team if it affects other people. No one is left out of any decision. Directors take personal interest in the problems of both the individuals and the team.
Cons
Being in a shared space has it's own down sides. But that is poised for change in a very short time. Everyone from the team was taken around to see all the options for the new space and we all gave inputs on what we think. I have never seen that happen anywhere else.
