Pros
If you are willing to learn, continuously, you will go far here. I came from a large organisation, so much thinking was done for me, I thought I was a software engineer, cause that was the role, but in actual fact I was just more of a mindless developer. Until you get the freedom, accountability and trust required like you do at Curve, you realise how much more you can learn being at a small, challenging company. I do think it is a sink or swim company, hence a lot of the bad reviews, seemingly by entry level roles. Those who join with experience, own opinions backed by real life experence, they do well here. I have seen many people climb the ladder at Curve, and I have seen people whine and moan and leave and frankly, these are often the one's that were not good enough and struggled to perform. You will be found out here, if you want to sit back, not learn and do the bare minimum, you will be found out. Working here benefits those who's work does the talking. Would I recommend working here, only if you back yourself.
Cons
Some decisions, like the removing of insurance, doesn't strike me as well thought out and I get the impression the other leadership members will protect each other, show a united front. The glassdoor score, I think there's been people who didn't quite live upto expectations and leave poor views of the reality of working at Curve, meaning more good hires are detered so then some of the not so good make it through and we end up in this cycle of those bad hires then leaving and leaving a bad review. If you filter by Job Function you will see a lot of departments are very happy at Curve. Pay is very good, and so is the annual leave, but the pension scheme is lacking and there's not a bonus scheme (though I would always choose a higher salary over a bonus scheme)
