If you join as a professional development specialist or consultant you WILL BE overworked. This department is highly toxic so enter at your own risk. Should you decide to enter, use this role to gain experience for a year or two and then go somewhere else. If you stay, you are pigeon-holed in this department and will eventually burnout from the workload. This is a high-pressure, highly visible role so be prepared to cater to the whims and desires of your sales rep. Other large competitors also have better bonuses in this department.
