Pros
So, the people are nice to work with and some of them are pretty dedicated.
Cons
This company really operates on the business as usual idea. If I some up the mindset it would be 'we do it this way because we have always done it this way.' There is very little room for growth in this company, which is made worse further by the fact that it continues to shrink. As more people, leave or get let go, there is little push to hire on new talent. Instead, the responsibilities get absorbed by the people who are left, leaving a skeleton crew doing multiple jobs and not getting paid to do all this additional work. This is a holding company, so the owner has no real vested interest in the company on the front end, creating cash flow problems and lack of capital investment on the back end. The systems are dated, this includes both software and warehouse machinery. If you want to be paid more, and you will because they are not in any way competitive, you will get told that it is the company culture to make you do the job without the pay and then back paid on the back end. The problem is the back end never comes. Each time I brought up a raise after doing the job for a year, and then a year and a half and finally 2 years, I would get an excuse and told to keep working hard and it would happen. If never happened and I finally lost hope and found another job.
