Pros
Relatively free to do work that you want to do without being bothered.
Cons
The leadership of the company is quite inexperienced. The company itself is run by a wealthy family, and although they do have people with experience in the family, the people with the experience are not the ones running it. There is not a lot of vision in the products, they sort of just try stuff until something sticks (which is basically nothing) and don't really come up with a plan for how products should be developed. There are two parts of this company: "Business/Marketing" and "Engineering". There is no product development team. Nobody has an overarching vision of what a product should be, or does any sort of research into what the market wants or what competitors are doing. The engineers do work very hard, but do not have the time to do work that should be reserved for product development specialists.
This results in products that are bloated and lacking any kind of direction or vision. The product then ultimately fails and they move on to the next one.
There is also a great deal of mistrust and personal drama within the company, this is mainly due to ambiguous roles and a lack of communication between the leadership of the company and everybody else.
The other review is myopic and written by either somebody trying to promote the company or somebody who has no other work experience.
