Cons
Crunchyroll of the past had its faults like moving slowly and building more things then it should have but it had a large focus on people and growth that seems to have been lost. Post merger it now seems like if your experience doesn't conform to how leadership sees technology, then it's largely sidelined. Day to day direction comes from the higher ups with managers having to course correct as necessary. This has led to burnout and a questioning of wether the company has a strategy for its goals. Favoritism runs high. Technology changes happen top down with discussions not feeling genuine. Public company discussions rarely feel safe. Fear tactics are used. Little responsibility from management for creating projects that have fundamental business flaws. Overall the company seems to have shifted to be very top down which works for some but not others. It's a bit unclear if this is temporary or just how it is going forward.
