Many employees and attorneys genuinely care about their clients and go above and beyond to help them. An overall interesting industry with tremendous potential for making a positive impact on the community.

The culture and values conveyed and typically followed for clients externally is not really followed internally. Hiring for key positions sometimes follows the 'friends and family' plan with some new hires and new positions bypassing HR and best practices for hiring. Your department's/manager's position within the family tree can affect your job satisfaction and growth potential and quickly close any perception of an "open door" policy for airing grievances.
