Pros
Crown has some of the smartest and most talented and knowledgeable people in the industry that truly care about each other and the company. There was a sense of family at Crown that made work fun even on the busiest days. There was mutual respect and support of each other and a desire to always do what was right, and that's what made Crown so special and successful. You don't find this at other companies.
Cons
Change in leadership destroyed the company, its core values, and morale. There were 3 major reorganizations in 2 years, and a single minded focus on customers with no regard for the long-standing relationships with landlords or other aspects of the business that secured assets and created profit. Under this new direction, employees were instructed to put all work aside for all but one customer which ultimately angered other major customers and resulted in strained relationships, cancelled work, and lost revenue. The abuse of power and misguided direction was a major contributor to the recent layoff of at least 20% of the workforce along with the elimination of key departments within the company that seriously impacted lives. The EMT is deaf to major problems within the organization and does not seek out ways to improve or learn from the people who are in the trenches actually doing the work.
