Pros
I started the position straight out of college and was taught the ropes of Citrix administration by experts in the field. I got to know the inner workings of each component so I could effectively troubleshoot issues with customers. Lab materials were provided such as a server to build a test environment, all licensing, and images needed to complete my tasks. Continuous education allowed me to learn a multitude of technologies to better help the customers at hand. There was ample training regarding each technology to ensure confidence and competency before working with customers. Remote work allowed me to be flexible and work from where ever I needed to. The culture is very inclusive and everyone is willing to help solve any issues that may arise. There are opportunities to move up in the company. There is flexibility with your career path, as team members have the ability to transition for developer roles to systems administration or vice versa. This allows everyone to find what they are truly passionate about. Managers are very laid back and do not micro manage. Compensation is great Traveling for customer work is great to connect with them and build relationships There are team events yearly to connect with coworkers and celebrate
Cons
As a remote worker there is less opportunity to work with co-workers as they are geographically dispersed
