Pros

-Global: HQ are in Paris, with offices ALL around the world so you get to interact with people from all over the world. There are many opportunities to work abroad. -Thought Leader: Everyone that I have met is very passionate about the company and the products. Criteo is not just another retargeter, there is a lot of data and science behind what we do. R&D investment is very important and Criteo is constantly looking at ways to refine, build and grow. -Culture: Criteo has really invested in office managers to ensure they bring the Criteo culture to every office. The annual summit in Paris is amazing. It makes you feel like you are part of something BIG.

Cons

-Processes and Tools: Criteo has been a bit behind on providing employees with efficient tools to help them streamline processes. This has definitely improved since I joined and I can see it is headed in the right direction. Training: Again this is getting better, however training has definitely been a challenge for newer teams. Training should not only span the engine and products, but also job roles (AS, TS, BI). Collaboration and Communication: depends on the team/business line. For newer teams, there has been more disconnect. There needs to be a bigger push to integrate all teams and knowledge share across teams.

Hi - thank you so much for your feedback! You wouldn't believe how insightful it is, both the pros and the cons. This is an awesome place to be, and thanks for being a part of it! In terms of the cons, absolutely agree on the efficient tools. Infact IT has a bunch of additional tools in their pipeline that are in the 2015/2016 roadmap and will bring exciting efficiencies to our employees! Absolutely agree this needs focus, and Criteo is right behind you on this. Also on the communications! infact we hired a new Sr Director of communications to address exactly your point here. It's very much recognised as a need, and we should start seeing changes soon, we have a very aggressive agenda to improve on this! Thank you again, you've truly hit the nail on the head.

Pros

Earlier in my time at Criteo, the culture was a true strength. Teams were collaborative, capable, and invested in delivering value to clients. There are still incredibly smart, hardworking people across the organization when they are given the resources needed to deliver strong work.

Cons

Morale has declined significantly due to direction from upper leadership. Executive communications often feel scripted and disconnected from the realities teams are navigating. Employees are facing burnout, layoffs, no merit compensation growth, and increasing workloads without clear strategic guidance. Leadership layers have expanded in ways that create bottlenecks and slow decision making, while individual contributors lack clarity on priorities and long term direction. Internal mobility has been restricted, limiting opportunities for promotion or role movement at the same time compensation progression has been removed. Salary transparency was removed from internal and external role descriptions, which has impacted trust. Despite positive performance, cost discipline appears to disproportionately affect employees rather than being shared equitably across leadership levels. Additionally, a return to office policy has been implemented, including for employees originally hired as remote. This has added strain and uncertainty for teams.

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback. Every decision we make is taken with our long-term organizational health in mind. From top leadership to individual contributors, we are all committed to building sustainable success for our company and the people in it. Making Criteo a place where everyone can grow is a shared priority, and that’s why we equally value vertical and horizontal career pathways. When it comes to individual recognition, our merit compensation processes are structured and similar across our entire organization to ensure maximum fairness and equity. Since Criteo's success is built on connections, we strongly encourage our teams to come together to boost innovation and collaboration at once. By blending office presence with flexible options, we keep trust at the core of our work approach since everyone remain empowered to manage their time, energy, and schedule the way they see fit.
