Pros

Pay is good (hourly + commission). Leads are provided. You work from the office and very rarely have to travel to meet clients. Coworkers make this an awesome place to work. One of the smartest and most talented group of people I've ever worked with. Office manager does the best job they can at being a filter between owner and staff so everyone doesn't quit. The owner is a smart businessman and you can learn a lot working here. Some room for personal growth. If you stick around, you will become one of the more talented agents in the industry. Because of the volume of transactions, you will learn all kinds of useful tricks that will set you apart from other realtors. The business model does work and you can feel good saving clients thousands in commission. I learned a lot working here and then took that experience somewhere else. .

Cons

-Very stressful as an agent. Work/life balance is terrible. In this industry, it's always going to be long work hours. With only 2-3 agents actually working transactions, you will handle 25-50 deals at a time compared to traditional real estate where you may close 3-5 deals a month. -Being a discount service, you will get some "bottom of the barrel" clients who are just unreasonably difficult to deal with. -Turn over is very high. If you make it 2-3 months, you will probably stay as long as you want. Most agents don't make it that long. Though the core staff group is very supportive and wants to see you succeed. -You will get a week or two of vacation, but even if/when you are allowed to take time off as an agent, you will still have a few hours of work to do a day. No other benefits provided because you're a "contractor." - The owner does some shady things in how he treats his employees. It doesn't matter if you are an assistant or a licensed agent, you are an "independent contractor" who is told how, where, and when to do your job. You will work a "suggested schedule" and you will be lectured for showing up 5 minutes late or leaving early. You will pay self-employment taxes despite being treated like an employee, costing you thousands per year. - If you are fat, older, have kids, smoke, etc, you will probably either not get the job or constantly be harassed about it by the owner. The staff has learned to ignore comments from him, and they won't give you a hard time about it. He will also diagnose and interrogate you anytime you are sick. If he is not in the office, he is generally watching the staff on one of the many security cameras all day.

Pros

I love the comfortable and laid-back office environment. Everyone works together as a team.

Cons

Challenging but Rewarding. If you have zero real estate experience, you will have to do your homework and learn as much as you can in the first few weeks during training as an assistant. The position is NOT hard but it requires a lot of critical thinking. Because it is a high volume Real Estate Agency, you have to know how to work in a fast pace environment with a go-getter attitude and a great student mentality. You will get to learn something new every single day. If you put in the effort and want to grow, the company will invest in you! If you are looking for a temporary easy job just to collect a paycheck, don't bother applying!

Pros

Disregard the negative reviews!!!! They couldn't be further from the truth. I have been working here for almost a year and love it. The environment promotes a happy and healthy lifestyle and the boss is very accommodating with my schedule. The only time we ever receive negative reviews is when people are upset for being under-qualified for the position! The job may be "unconventional" to most simply because is not easy-- you do actually have to do work here! Go figure! It is a very fast-paced and detail oriented environment that requires a certain amount of common sense, along with very basic math skills and computer skills. The environment is also very casual and comfortable, and the employees are very personable and kind. The office is new, clean, and high-tech. There is an opportunity for growth if you are willing to put in the work required to learn new skills. No complaints at all!

Cons

I have no complaints-- this job is the best position I have ever had.
