Wonderful culture to grow professionally and personally - Software Consultant Credera Employee Review

Pros

- The culture of Credera is very transparent when compared to most companies. Despite the existence of an org-hierarchy, it is really easy to meet and become friends with people in different rungs. I often saw senior leaders having friendly chats with new hires whether they were on-campus hires or experienced hires. - The culture also embraces continued learning where the company offers Training-Time-Off where you are given 40 hours of paid-time to focus exclusively on learning or taking certifications. Often these would be used in conjunction with company offered tools such as Udemy. - Career Coaches: These are basically 'supervisors' who you check in with monthly and they help you plan out your career trajectory or areas of growth. - Credera is also great at understanding that their employees are human and as such provide tons of opportunities for Crederians to socialize such as special interest groups like 'Book Clubs' or the annual Leadership Program where consultants take on pro-bono work for local non-profits.

Cons

- Like all consulting firms, work-life balance varies based on the project you are assigned so, some projects can be more stressful than others. - Often the people that get promoted are those that socialize with the higher-ups which makes it hard for introverts to level-up (which unfortunately, is true for a lot of places not just Credera). - Lacks diversity meaning that most of the software consultants are white men. That said the majority of them are friendly and great people so it is nothing against them. It's just that the lack of diversity makes it harder to find your 'tribe' when you are a female POC and sometimes this make going to the office feel 'lonely'.

Thank you for your feedback and impact at Credera. We’re glad to hear that you’ve enjoyed getting to know our people at all levels. We believe that our people are our best asset and do an excellent job demonstrating our core values of integrity, excellence, tenacity, people first, and humility. It’s important that our people have opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. We’re glad to hear that you’ve enjoyed taking Training Time Off and our variety of courses provided by Learning & Development. We’ve also enjoyed providing more opportunities for connection through ERG’s and office events. We agree that consulting can be challenging as we provide the best solutions for our clients. We seek to provide a merit-based environment, which is why we built a detailed performance management program focused on developing our people. However, we appreciate your feedback and encourage you to share any specific information with HR to inspire change. Although we believe we’ve made large strides over the years through a variety of DE&I initiatives, we know we can always get better and hope to hear feedback from our people! We very much welcome any advice you have to make Credera a more inclusive and diverse environment.
