Pros
I worked at CIQ for nearly 3 months (the length of the probation period), and to be honest — I truly enjoyed everything: from the way the company treats its people to the work itself. In my second month, we had a performance review system in place (assessment)— the idea was to help me better understand my strengths and areas for improvement. When asked how I would evaluate my performance in terms of KPIs, I shared honestly that it was hard to objectively assess. For this role, there weren’t any clearly defined KPIs, and I had brought this up more than once — asking how I could better measure my impact and become more effective, especially considering how the volume and depth of tasks could vary greatly from day to day, often due to factors beyond my control. In the manager’s feedback from that assessment, I was told I was progressing well and meeting expectations. During our 1:1s, I kept hearing that everything was going great, that my contributions were being felt — even as I actively sought ways to improve. Then, four days before the end of my probation, I had a 1:1 with my manager and HR, and was informed — without much explanation — that it would be my last day. The only thing mentioned vaguely related to KPIs, which directly contradicted the feedback I’d received throughout the entire 3 months. This is where my journey with CIQ ended.
Cons
CreatorIQ is an amazing place with huge potential. But with an ending like this, the value of the feedback I was given — unfortunately — dropped close to zero.
