Pros

Founder John Kaiser is the best in the business at what he does. Technically sound, devoted to being the best accountant, works hard, and recognizing others who try to follow that mindset. Most devoted partner I have worked with in terms of both his clients and practice.

Cons

Unfortunately the other principals lack technical ability for their level and generally exist off JWK's success and reputation. The firm is much smaller than it will let on (a large % of the employee headcount are part time and bookkeeping). Still adhere to outdated employee practices such as disallowance of working from home, not allowing employees to contact clients directly, very rough on working mothers, and does not provide meals on work nights and weekends even though coming into the office is demanded by management. .

Pros

Great experience with fantastic co-workers. They understand you are there as an intern and will have questions and are more than willing to help. I personally enjoy working 50+ hours a week but others may not and Tax/accounting is not the profession for you. Very friendly atmosphere and I have learned a ton!

Cons

There are none for me however some may say; the hours required to work and the amount of work given

Pros

Wonderful experience for a young student to see what life is like in the "real world" at a public accounting firm. Very friendly employees who always offered advice and work.

Cons

Since only a High School student, the type of work was obviously very limited.
