Pros
Cox training for fresh new machinists is very good. The training manager speaks in easily understandable terms and makes it fun. The pay starts pretty low around 13 if you dont have any experience or right out of tech school. Within a year i was making 17. Show em what youre made of and they will treat you great. If you dont want to work hard you will regret working here! I have seen many seasoned older machinists have a difficult time here. It isnt really set up for veterans of machining. Things are done differently here. Dont worry so much about scrap, "just keep the machines running we will worry about the scrap later" mindset. Dont go checking your zeroes and edge finding or changing tools out just go and hurry up. Oh and burr your own parts.
Cons
Low pay, even the 5axis guys 10 years plus didnt make over 22. Dont get comfy, you will be moved around a lot.
