Pros
The friendly and thorough trainer did their best to explain things and answer questions.
Cons
Unfortunately, the training doesn't explain ICOMS (the primary app you use on the floor) very well and that's not due to a lack of trying on the trainers part. The Icoms application is a no exaggeration NIGHTMARE. It's all codes and abbreviations and a very very poorly designed interface. it makes everything a LONG process and is plagued with errors and crashes. The application doesn't even natively run in windows it's running in a virtual box of sorts. doesn't have scroll bars have to click on arrows through large lists while only displaying 4-5 items at a time. when putting in the date for orders you have to always fix the date or it errors you have to input dates like this 52521 instead of the natural way of 5/25/21. EVERYTHING IS CODES and inconsistent ABBREVIATIONS . and I mean EVERYTHING is like this. I am very tech-savvy and owned my own computer business for a while, So if I say it's horribly designed and only makes the job a nightmare I'm, not exaggerating. They are supposedly working on a new application but it's 30 years too late. Sadly even the trainer had issues with the program we were being trained to use and that's, not a good sign.
