Pros

- Team: Lots of lovely, hard working colleagues who are both strong individual contributors and eager collaborators. The culture between staff members is friendly and warm with the ability to laugh and play as well as get stuff done. - Opportunity: It's a small start up, so there are plenty of chances for someone smart and hard working to move into new roles and learn a lot of skills. - Flexibility: The company HAS gone through a lot of changes, as other reviewers noted, but I'm not actually sure that's a negative. For me, the shifts were invigorating and offered ways to learn & grow more. I can see that is a privilege- I was not affected by the downsizing and shifts in vision- but at the same time, that's what it means to work in a start up. Change is fast and the company is looking for its niche. - Work/life balance was outstanding; I was able to both work hard and care for my own physical and mental well-being. As long as meetings were attended and work was done in an efficient way, I was able to work around events at my child's school and personal appointments-- I never felt I had to choose or let something on either side slip.

Cons

- Change: There were many changes, including layoffs, while I was there. As I said above, that is going to be inevitable in all but a handful of unicorn start ups. It can be a con if folks are used to more stable employers who aren't still building their product.

Pros

Strong leadership that I always found to be open, genuinely caring about the team, and reasonably transparent. Smart, capable, and committed team members. Leadership's commitment to continuous, rapid improvement.

Cons

Finding product-market fit has been a challenge for Coursemojo and the company went through significant shifts as it tried to figure that out. These shifts inevitably impacted staffing and team members' roles and responsibilities and led to some layoffs.
