Pros
I had the pleasure to work at CounterTack for a short period during the summer between my sophomore and junior year at college, specifically with the Engineering (QA team) and Program Management teams. All in all, it was an extremely pleasant and informative experience in a burgeoning and ever-more relevant industry. Apart from the technical skills I was able to develop, specifically Python coding, the employees were incredibly helpful in going out of their way to ensure that I was up to speed with the rest of the team and taking the time to answer my questions. For example, Mr. Creighton personally made time to meet with me in the Waltham office, and Mr. Davis and Mr. Wolters had several calls with me prior to working to make sure that I had a list of goals and what would be the best way to go about achieving them. Also, working remotely went very smoothly.
Cons
Internship program is young and not yet well-defined, which requires the intern to seek out work a lot on their own if they want to maximize value from program. Not such a terrible thing though!
