Pros
Pretty decent employee discount which is great if you are a stylist and need products, decent benefits, make an effort to be diverse and inclusive. * there is a catch on the benefits and they're effort to be inclusive and diverse.
Cons
The benefits are great, but seeing as they only pay minimum wage and offer part time hours because "they can't afford to have full time staff", they will eat up 1/3 of your paycheck which really defeats the purpose. Meanwhile the CEO brings in a whopping 371 times that of their average employee. Weird. Huh. That is public information by the way so its not a trade secret. And all of their claims to be diverse and inclusive and care about racial justice are null and void for that reason too. Its all talk until they get eith the program and pay people more. They actively try to recruit licensed hair stylists while not paying them what they're worth. They can't keep stores staffed because the pay is literally that awful and often times have to pay employees from other stores more money in gas milliage, hotels, and food just to keep stores open. So yeah. Its a great place to work if you have an awesome store team and you really only need part time hours and want that discount, but if you need anything else & more than that, stay away.
