Pros

Office management was very flexible and understanding. I was given the opportunity to work from home which allowed for me to juggle my personal and work life adequately.

Cons

There is no room for advancement. I was hired under the premise that, one day, I would be presented with opportunities for advancement, but there truly aren't any. The pay is very low. The company has a maximum percentage they're allowed to give as raises, and it's an abysmal amount. The pay wouldn't cover basic life necessities if I would have had to work within the office rather than from home. I didn't partake in the benefits because they weren't worth it. For a company such as this, you would think they would have good benefits. They don't have short- or long-term disability, either. They allow you to accumulate sick/vacation time to compensate for it, but I would have much preferred the option of short-term disability for something like maternity leave.

Pros

Remote work, supportive management, Easy computer system and great training. Onboarding is amazing. If you need assistance, someone will help you ASAP. It’s not a complex system and they actually have a help feature to tell you exactly what you need to do to correct a diary/task. Management is well above average. They assist and jump in but show you how. They don’t just do it and move along or delegate the task. They don’t judge when they see you’re truly trying. And most of all, they care.

Cons

The benefits could be better.

Pros

Excellent pay structure to offset poor benefits and high healthcare costs. There is no Short Term Disability offered.

Cons

Management frequently lies to clients and employees about adjust case loads. Adjusted frequently experience case loads of 150 to 200 cases per desk. Management lies to clients regarding adjuster turnover and account managers are expected to lie as well. Alcohol is a big part of Corvel culture. During my first week of employment I was expected to drink with my regional VP and a client. During the conversation the client became extremely intoxicated and began mocking me. The VP looked on and said, none of this matters. This is just some hazing. Managers do not take the time to develop their cohorts. They bully people into working harder and taking on more than they can physically manage. When you make a mistake the response is not, let’s learn from this. The response is, do it again and you’re fired. This is common Corvel culture. This is very much a classic corporate greed structure that pushes people to their breaking points, fires them, and funds someone else to plug the hole.
