Great part time job - Customer Experience Representative Coquitlam Public Library Employee Review

The work is personally rewarding. Strong bonds formed with co-workers. Pay is good for most positions. Job security.

Leadership is resistant to suggestions for improvement. Poor top-down communication. Regular incidents toward staff with people who are unhoused / have mental health challenges / under the influence of drugs. Management does not take steps to prevent such occurrences or support staff. Bare minimum staffing levels results in overwork / poor service.

Relatively easy work. Staff are usually very friendly and nice to work with.

The facility is dirty. Members of the public can be rude/unruly. Managers are ill-equipped and never available.
