Pros
Great team of people at the lower levels. COOK in general is a well-established, internationally successful company with a great track record. Positions are very stable. They don't lay off and they rarely seem to terminate employment after full time hire on.
Cons
Management tends towards short-term, short-sighted solutions, and invests in money-making products versus life-saving products. Under-achieving employees are treated equally with motivated, over-achieving employees. Upper management is extremely out of touch with lower level employees and are determined to avoid "middle management" levels, so there is no effective intermediary. This also means there is very little room for growth. Compensation is quite low in comparison with equivalent positions at other companies in the region, if salary.com can be believed.
