Pros

- working in a 5 star hotel with a bustling energy - some colleagues are nice - various projects

Cons

- low pay - rude people and competition between employees - terrible upper management team lead by the Managing Director Roy Tomassen. He is such a hypocrite in so many ways. In front of VIPs he is a very different person than with regular employees. Also don't trust the nice pictures of the Instagram page of the company. He only tolerate diversity (ie 'minorities') for cleaning positions and kitchen helpers, to perpetrate the clichés. All staff in upper management and more qualified roles are Caucasian. HR is their puppet and has received orders to not shortlist people with certain 'skin colors' for these roles. Disgusting. I am glad I left.

Pros

Great team, amazing guests, beautiful building.

Cons

I have never seen such disorganized work processes in the horeca field, especially in luxury hotel: constant changes, unnecessary pressure, lack of clear structure, and ongoing confusion. The team becomes frustrated every shift due to these issues, and even basic equipment like POS/pin machines are not functioning properly. Due to these conditions, employees experience burnout very easily. There are more managers than workers, yet the work processes remain in complete disorder. Additionally, there is no proper food (breakfast) provided for staff.
