Pros

Unfortunately, I cannot say that the Coffee in the Office is bad.

Cons

Non-Realistic targets, with Management that only cares about their personal brand awareness in Linkedin/PR and less about the employees (Please just speak less about Cars and care more about your employees) The company is hiring more and more reps and managers although there is no need to - HQ has Headcount targets and doesn't care that the AEs will not sell anything. In 2023 I believe that Confluent will start layoffs due to the economic situation, which we already started to see that activity - hiring freeze, fewer expenses approval. Please also remember that the product is in a terrible situation, as MSK (AWS) and Red-Panda have a better Kafka solution, and Confluent is chasing them right now.

Pros

Great product, strong leadership, and talented people across the organization. Excellent place to learn enterprise SaaS sales and grow quickly as an SDR. Supportive team culture, good training, and a fast-paced environment with many opportunities to work with large global accounts. Strong compensation and career development opportunities for high performers.

Cons

Since the IBM acquisition, there has been uncertainty around the future structure and career path for SDRs. Communication could be more transparent regarding organizational changes, promotion opportunities, and long-term strategy for the SDR organization.
