Inexperienced management and Toxic - Paralegal Specialist Compass Strategy Solutions Employee Review

Pros

The pros are so minimal that it's not worth writing

Cons

Management is largely inexperienced and appears to be learning their roles at the same time as their staff. The work environment is highly restrictive regarding employee interactions, and there is significant oversight of routine workplace behavior. Management is watching you 24/7. You will get no training but expected to perform the job day 1. If you did want a government job. This is not a stepping stop. Many employees thought the same but it's in fact the opposite.

Pros

You leave everyday on time, and the pay is better than you can find in the area and it’s semi easy to get a job here. I would simply use this job as a stepping stone to stable yourself get a certification, or clearance, and move on.

Cons

There is no Compass management onsite, and your direct manager is unable to really do any discipline as they do not work for the same company as you. Management does not intervene properly when inappropriate behavior is displayed. It is a very toxic environment when it comes to gossiping, and professionalism, and there is not a lot of work to do so people gossip quite a bit. The benefits are very poor with high deductibles on insurance and little PTO time that could be used without your consent in the case of a government shut down (they tell you this but it actually happening can be quite disturbing.) You also have to pay for parking out of pocket which can be almost 175 dollars a month. If you are not sensitive to the environment around you then this could be something you would be interested in, but it became too uncomfortable to work in I could not recommend.
