Pros

CompONE was a great place to work at. The benefits were great, and it had a relaxed small company feel. From where I worked in the MIS department, there was actually not that much to do. I spent most of my day twiddling my thumbs waiting for a call to come in. I cant speak for those who worked in other locations in the company. It looks good on my resume and it helped quiet a bit with my professional development. Overall I would say that it is a decent place to work as compared to some other jobs that I have been at.

Cons

There was a lack of communication between upper management and the normal employee. There was also NOTHING TO DO. I sat around most days watching the grass grow. Also, their income is taking a dive so they did major layoffs. I lost my job due to cutbacks. They didn't contest an unemployment claim.

Pros

Management seemed to encourage team work. I enjoyed having "lead" employees in my area of work that monitored progress, rather than upper management.

Cons

There didn't seem to be a lot of opportunity from within. If I had an idea of how to make a process run more smoothly, there did not seem to be a way to submit my idea. And if you could talk to a manager about it, they seemed to have a "that's nice, honey" attitude about it, rather than taking you and your ideas seriously.
