Pros
Sure, I’ll start with the “pros” — I guess I got some really valuable experience in how to survive corporate chaos, lies, and gross incompetence. If nothing else, working at Community Physicians taught me what red flags to look for in my next job.
Cons
Where do I begin? Community Physicians is what happens when a bunch of delusional wannabe healthcare “executives” with no money, no plan, and no clue take over a functioning medical group and think they’re going to play CEO. They came to Rockford acting like saviors — all fake smiles, empty promises, and big talk about growth and innovation. Spoiler alert: NONE of it was true. They couldn’t even get our benefits right for MONTHS. Payroll issues, insurance delays, HR dysfunction — you name it, they messed it up. The leadership? Hilarious. They’re so terrified of their own staff, they hide behind attorneys and passive-aggressive emails. Real inspiring stuff. You’re more likely to see a unicorn than get a straight answer from the owners. Unless you’re family, of course — in that case, congrats, you’re instantly promoted no matter how useless you are. Even then, they fight with each other like it’s an episode of Keeping Up with the Community Physicians. And yes, I got fired. Why? Because I dared to ask questions and expected them to act like professionals. Apparently, that’s grounds for termination when you work for a company where transparency and competence go to die.
