Pros

Stable babies 1:2 ratio They give you free scrubs

Cons

Escalation to structured conversations instead of real-time coaching. No clear guidance. Outdated practices (e.g., drawing caffeine levels weekly if a baby is on caffeine, regardless of dose), and many more. Support is minimal at best (I received one shift of orientation when I was supposed to have at least 3–6). Textbook nurse bullies. Textbook profit over patient safety. Textbook fly-by management style. Nurses will complain if you have too many blankets or not enough. Unsafe narcotic wasting and counting system (they do it by hand on a spreadsheet , no joke). Low retention rate, especially for a NICU. In the span of eight months, 6–7 people quit. Management is performative and will literally lie to you.

Pros

Leadership is visible and interacts with all members of staff. The surgeons are generally respectful. The anesthesia staff is incredible to work with.

Cons

Communication is sometimes lacking. There are too many company emails to know what is important.
