Pros
Great co-workers, international locations (collaboration & travel), nice corporate office. Good opportunities to start out and get job or industry experience, but don't stay too long. Negotiate for comp up front, because you won't get it later with annual raises capped at 3% and 'promotions' capped at 15%.
Cons
CEO reduced all salaries by 20% during COVID, while paying himself and top management literal millions in extra compensation. Middle management and workers at the plants who actually make the company money get the shaft. It's okay though, they provide free lunch on Wednesdays. Lots of lip service to diversity and inclusion, but no real action. Incredibly misogynistic culture, and very few women in leadership roles. Tone deaf leadership and communication. CFO is completely toxic - over 3/4 of the senior finance staff left within a four month period, maybe the problem isn't them? Segment VPs are a mixed bag with one or two gems, but most think leadership is yelling until you get the answer you want. HR has too many overpaid senior people and IT has too few underpaid junior people. New senior management hires are all CEO cronies, and the board is engaged in a long term cycle of increasing board and exec compensation at the expense of shareholders and the rank and file. More millions spent on multiple failed ERP implementations, 'strategic change' and the latest flavor of the day strategy they think will appease wall street. Current management will continue to loot the company until they find their next target. Eight years was about six too many for me.
