Pros

Supportive environment, collaborative, flexible part time schedule. This company is the real deal - ethical, does what it says it will do, incredible support and management. We share resources, there is no competition among colleagues but rather a corporate culture of collaboration, education and training amongst peers, and genuine love of the work and for one another. Initial training is robust and incredibly helpful, ongoing internal professional development utilizes the knowledge and expertise of colleagues who are encouraged to share with one another. Kudos and shout outs for employees who help each other. This is a group of really smart and talented people who love helping kids and that attitude extends to all of our colleagues. Truly a wonderful place to work.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any. The best place I've ever worked!

Company culture is fantastic. Tons of flexibility in the workday and throughout the year. Summer Friday afternoons off. Management is kind and in touch.

Cons

Families can be high maintenance (but most are great).

Pros

I have 20 years of experience in independent school college counseling (14 as director) and 12 years in college admissions at highly selective schools. When it came time to step away from the school environment, Collegewise was my first and only choice of workplace. This company supports students where they are, elevates them with encouragement and organizational skills, and supports their hopes and dreams for college. I have the time to help students grow their academic interests and write authentic essays that reveal their voices and interests. Every student I worked with last year grew as a person and was admitted to a top-choice college. I was honored to be welcomed into their families and be a part of their senior years. Prior to this job, I hadn't worked with younger students (9th- and 10th-graders), and I've discovered they are delightful! It's a privilege to be a part of their educational journey, and I know I am providing great advice on courses, summer programs, and even books! My colleagues are incredible. With over 100+ counselors, there is literally no question that I cannot answer for a family. I especially appreciate my colleagues' positivity and can-do attitude. Whether it's cheering each other on during a work anniversary or a life milestone, or getting together to work on a project, the vibe is always positive.

Cons

Literally not one. Seriously, not one.
