Pros

The pay for admissions is decent to lure in top sales people. Free laptop. Not really. You have to turn it back.

Cons

Numbers driven! On the phones harassing students all day long. The owner has her favorites sits out of San Diego CA office. She is your best friend if you enroll lots of students and worst enemy when you stop enrolling. The turnover of employees is completely insane. I personally witnessed the owner fired a admissions rep for going to his grandmothers funeral! She is all about numbers and profits first. This company has faced many lawsuits and also goes by Steven Hanager Colleges. They have colleges all over the US and runs it like a boiler room. If you can't hit your quota pack you stuff because they will find a reason to fire you. They lure in top talent with high salaries but 90% do not make more then 3 months period. You work out of a cubical with other Reps in one room. The programs are over priced and have no value. Do not fall for the positive reviews! They are misleading.

Pros

Currently, CollegeAmerica Fort Collins is staffed by honest and extraordinary staff and faculty who perform above and beyond there duties. It is a special place to work and I am proud to be a part of this company. In this period of economic change CollegeAmerica has had to adapt like many companies (colleges and universities especially). The individuals on the ground, leading this challenging transformation are inspired and truly dedicated to the job and most importantly, the students! In my ten years experience in the field of education I can sincerely say my position at CollegeAmerica has been the most rewarding of all.

Cons

Anyone in the college education industry at this period in time could write a 10000 word essay on CONS. The field of education has been criminally neglected and the workers subject to abhorring conditions in this country. So there's that. CollegeAmerica is not immune. The company underwent downsizing late last year, as did many colleges and universities at this time. As a result, however, the current staff and faculty are the most dedicated hard working group I have had the pleasure to work with, some taking on the duties of 2 or 3 different jobs. It takes special people of integrity to inspire and lead our students and graduates to their goals. CollegeAmerica is full of these kind of people.
